It’s one thing when we talk about how much time, code, and problems are
saved using RhoConnect — it’s another when a customer validates it

Rhomobile has always been focused on providing a modern open and
standards-based way to mobilize enterprise apps. The first product we offered
for that was Rhodes, an open source framework which makes it easy to build
native smartphone apps using your web skills.
But we also offered RhoSync, a modern mobile sync server that synchronizes
data from backend applications down to the Rhodes apps on devices. We were
proud that we made mobile data synchronization much easier, faster and more
scalable than any of the other aging MEAP platforms that offer
synchronization today.

Our open source framework Rhodes contains the first implementation of Ruby
for every major smartphone operating system: iPhone, Android, BlackBerry,
Windows Mobile and Symbian. The primary benefits of the Rhodes framework are:
the productivity and portability enabled by writing interfaces in HTML once
(and compiling to native smartphone apps), access to device capabilities from
a common library used on all smartphone devices and the ability to easily
incorporate synchronized data for offline use.

The iPhone and the Apple App Store have been THE critical agents in changing
the mobile consumer’s attitude with regard to mobile applications.
Specifically they have converted virtually all smartphone users (beyond just
the iPhone) to wanting and expecting to use native apps on their mobile
devices. This is a huge sea change in behavior, especially for U.S.
consumers. As enabling technology for building smartphone apps, we
